Accessibility Statement
Conformance target: WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Last updated: September 14, 2026.
Our commitment
MuscleBuddy is committed to making the app usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation. We design and build against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as our standard.
Conformance status
MuscleBuddy targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This is a self-assessed, ongoing conformance target rather than a certified audit result: we have not commissioned a third-party accessibility audit. "Partially conforms" means some parts of the app do not yet fully meet the standard (see Known limitations below).
How we test
Every deploy runs an automated accessibility check (axe, covering the app’s key routes) as a required CI gate, and we hold every design-system control, form field, and surface to the same focus-visible, label-association, and color-contrast requirements. New controls, fields, and surfaces are built from a shared design system specifically so accessibility behavior (focus rings, labels, contrast, hit targets) is consistent by construction rather than re-decided per screen.
Known limitations
We know of the specific gaps listed above (see the top of this page). We are not currently aware of any other significant, unaddressed accessibility barriers, but MuscleBuddy is under active development and new gaps can appear as we ship. If you find one, please tell us: see Feedback below.
Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier using MuscleBuddy, please email garrett@garrettmakesit.com with the page or feature involved and a description of the problem. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports promptly and prioritize fixes for barriers that block core functionality (account creation, logging a workout, viewing your program).
